Ingredients

  • ✅ For the Cake Pops:
  • 1 baked cake any flavor, crumbled
  • ½ cup frosting buttercream, cream cheese, or your choice
  • ✅ For the Coating & Decoration:
  • 12 oz candy melts or melted chocolate
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil or coconut oil for smooth dipping
  • Sprinkles crushed nuts, or edible glitter (optional)

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • - Baking Sheet
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Microwave-safe bowl (for melting chocolate)
  • Spatula
  • Fork (for crumbling cake)
  • - Parchment Paper
  • Cooling rack

Method

  1. 1️⃣ Crumble the Cake: Let the baked cake cool completely, then crumble it into fine pieces in a large bowl.
  2. 2️⃣ Mix with Frosting: Gradually add frosting and mix until the texture becomes dough-like.
  3. 3️⃣ Shape the Cake Pops: Roll the mixture into small, even balls (about 1-inch in size). Place them on a baking sheet.
  4. 4️⃣ Insert Sticks: Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into melted chocolate and insert it into a cake ball. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  5. 5️⃣ Dip in Chocolate: Melt the candy melts or chocolate, stirring until smooth. Dip each cake pop into the melted coating, ensuring full coverage.
  6. 6️⃣ Decorate: Before the coating hardens, add sprinkles or other decorations.
  7. 7️⃣ Let Set: Place cake pops upright in a stand or on parchment paper to harden completely.
  8. 8️⃣ Serve & Enjoy!

Notes

If the mixture feels too dry, add a little extra frosting.
For a smoother finish, tap the cake pop gently after dipping to remove excess chocolate.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
