Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the 2 cups of whole wheat flour and 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce. Mix thoroughly until a soft dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a tablespoon of flour at a time; if too dry, add a teaspoon of applesauce.2 cups Whole Wheat Flour, 1 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minute.2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
- Roll the dough to about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thickness.
- Cut out desired shapes using cookie cutters.
- Place the cut-out biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between them.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes for a softer biscuit, or 25-30 minutes for a crispier biscuit.
- Turn off the oven and leave the biscuits inside with the door slightly ajar for an additional 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
These treats are safe for dogs and do not contain harmful ingredients like onions, garlic, xylitol, chocolate, or excessive salt/sugar.

Store crispier biscuits at room temp for 3-5 days in an airtight container. Refrigerate softer biscuits for up to a week. Freeze for longer storage.
