- In a medium-sized bowl, spoon in your Greek yogurt. If you prefer a slightly sweeter base, you can stir in half of your chosen sweetener (honey or maple syrup) at this stage, along with the cinnamon and nutmeg. - Take your diced apple and place it in a small bowl. If you like your apples a little softer, or to help them meld with the flavors, you can toss them with a tiny splash of lemon juice (about 1/2 teaspoon) and a pinch of cinnamon. - Gently fold about half of the diced apples into the yogurt mixture. You want to distribute them evenly without overmixing, preserving some texture.1/2 medium apple, 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the top of the yogurt and apple mixture.1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- Drizzle the remaining honey or maple syrup over the top. Add a final sprinkle of cinnamon if desired. For extra texture and nutrients, you can also add your granola and chia seeds at this point. Notes
Best enjoyed fresh. Components can be prepared in advance. Yogurt and apple mixture can be stored for 1-2 days. Diced apples with lemon juice can last for 3-4 days. Not meant to be reheated.
