Ingredients

For the Burrata
  • 1 Burrata ball about 8 oz
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red pepper flakes optional, for a little heat
  • 1 pinch Salt sea salt or kosher
  • 1 pinch Black pepper freshly ground
For Serving
  • 0.5 cup Cherry tomatoes halved
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic glaze store-bought or homemade
  • 4 slices Crusty bread baguette or ciabatta, sliced and toasted
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh basil leaves torn or chopped, for garnish

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the burrata ball in a small oven-safe dish or ramekin.
  3. Drizzle the burrata with olive oil. Sprinkle evenly with dried oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the burrata is softened, warmed through, and slightly puffed. The outer mozzarella should be very soft, and the creamy stracciatella inside will be warm and gooey.
  5. While the burrata bakes, prepare your serving platter. Arrange the toasted bread slices around the dish. Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes around the burrata.
  6. Once baked, carefully remove the dish from the oven. Drizzle the warm burrata generously with balsamic glaze. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  7. Serve immediately, encouraging guests to spread the warm, creamy burrata and tomatoes onto the toasted bread.

Notes

Be careful when handling the hot burrata and dish. For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes. You can swap the cherry tomatoes for roasted red peppers or sun-dried tomatoes.
