Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and rolled oats until well combined.1 cup All-Purpose Flour, 1/2 cup Rolled Oats (uncooked)
- In a separate bowl, mash the ripe banana thoroughly until smooth. Add the peanut butter, egg, pureed berries, and water (or apple sauce) to the mashed banana. Whisk until all ingredients are smoothly incorporated.1/4 cup Mashed Ripe Banana, 1/4 cup Peanut Butter (natural, xylitol-free), 1 Large Egg Egg, 1/4 cup Pureed Berries, 2 tablespoons Water (or unsweetened apple sauce)
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix with a spoon or spatula until a thick dough forms. If the dough seems too dry, add another teaspoon of water or unsweetened apple sauce. If it’s too sticky, add a tablespoon of flour.1 cup All-Purpose Flour, 1/2 cup Rolled Oats (uncooked), 1/4 cup Peanut Butter (natural, xylitol-free), 1/4 cup Mashed Ripe Banana, 1/4 cup Pureed Berries, 1 Large Egg Egg, 2 tablespoons Water (or unsweetened apple sauce)
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently for a minute or two until it becomes slightly less sticky. Roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness.
- Use your favorite small dog treat cutters or a knife to cut out desired shapes.
- Carefully place the cut-out treats onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Remove the treats from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack before serving. This ensures they are fully hardened and safe for your dog to enjoy.
