Method
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Break up the turkey with a spoon and cook until it's browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Drain off any excess fat.1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 pound lean ground turkey, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- While the turkey is cooking, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey or maple syrup, and rice vinegar (or lime juice) in a medium bowl until smooth and well combined. Taste the sauce and adjust the Sriracha for your desired level of heat, or add a touch more honey for sweetness.1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce, 2 tablespoons Sriracha, 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup, 1 teaspoon rice vinegar or lime juice
- Add about half of the Bang Bang sauce to the skillet with the cooked ground turkey. Stir to coat the turkey evenly. Simmer gently for 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and the flavors to meld together. If you prefer a saucier dish, add more of the Bang Bang sauce.
- Divide the cooked rice among four bowls. Top each bowl generously with the saucy ground turkey mixture.4 cups cooked rice
- Drizzle any remaining Bang Bang sauce over the top of each bowl, if desired. Garnish with fresh cilantro, toasted sesame seeds, and thinly sliced green onions. Add any of your favorite optional toppings like edamame, diced cucumber, shredded carrots, or sliced avocado for extra color and nutrients. Serve immediately.1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, 1-2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds, thinly sliced green onions, edamame, diced cucumber, shredded carrots, or sliced avocado
