Ingredients
  

  • 1 large (10-ounce) can cooked chicken breast drained and shredded (or 2 cups freshly cooked and shredded chicken)
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (Frank's RedHot is highly recommended for authentic flavor)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (or blue cheese dressing, if preferred)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese divided
  • chopped fresh chives (Optional garnish)
  • green onions (Optional garnish)
  • crumbled blue cheese (Optional garnish)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or a 1-quart oven-safe dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated and the mixture is smooth.

  3. Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese (1/2 cup) and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese (1/4 cup) into the chicken mixture. Reserve the remaining cheese for topping.

  4. Spoon the chicken dip mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the dip.

  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly, and the cheese on top is melted and golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven. If desired, garnish with chopped chives, green onions, or crumbled blue cheese. Serve immediately with your favorite dippers.

Notes

This dip is best served warm directly from the oven.
