- In a medium bowl, pour in the heavy whipping cream and whole milk.1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1/2 cup whole milk
- To the bowl with the cream and milk, add the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract (if using), and a pinch of salt.1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon almond extract, pinch salt
- Using a whisk or an electric mixer on low speed, gently whisk the ingredients together. Continue whisking until the sugar has dissolved completely and all the ingredients are well incorporated. You are not looking for whipped cream consistency, just a smooth, homogenous liquid.
- Give the mixture a small taste. If you prefer it sweeter, add a touch more sugar, whisking until dissolved. If you desire a more pronounced vanilla or almond flavor, add an extra drop or two of extract.
- Pour the mixture into an airtight container or a clean glass bottle.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Can be frozen in ice cube trays for up to 2-3 months.
