- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and softened butter together using an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture is smooth and well combined, with no lumps of cream cheese remaining.8 ounces cream cheese, softened, 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- Gradually add the confectioners' sugar to the cream cheese and butter mixture, beating on low speed until just combined. Then, increase the speed to medium-high and beat for another 2-3 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy. Sifting the confectioners' sugar beforehand can help prevent lumps.1 cup confectioners' sugar
- With the mixer on low speed, slowly pour in the Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur. Continue to mix until it’s fully incorporated. Be careful not to overmix at this stage, as too much air can make the dip less dense.1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur
- Stir in the vanilla extract and the salt.1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the dip to thicken to a more spreadable consistency.
- Once chilled, give the dip a quick stir. Transfer it to a serving bowl. Garnish generously with your favorite toppings, such as chocolate shavings, crushed pretzels, or a dollop of whipped cream. Serve immediately with an assortment of dippers.chocolate shavings, crushed pretzels, fresh berries, whipped cream
Notes
Leftover Boozy Baileys Irish Cream Dip can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. It will firm up considerably when chilled. To reheat, gently warm it in a microwave on low power in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until it reaches your desired consistency. Alternatively, let it sit at room temperature for about 30-45 minutes until it softens enough to be spreadable. Freezing is not recommended.
