Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 4 Fresh ears of corn Husked and silks removed
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter Melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt Or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper Freshly ground

Method

Instructions
  1. Prepare the corn by removing the husks and all the silks from each ear.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. The water should be seasoned generously with salt, similar to seawater.
  3. Carefully place the husked corn into the boiling water. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, depending on the corn's freshness and desired tenderness. Avoid overcooking to maintain sweetness.
  4. While the corn is cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl.
  5. Once cooked, use tongs to carefully remove the corn from the water, allowing excess water to drip off. Place immediately onto a serving platter.
  6. Brush each ear generously with the melted butter, then sprinkle evenly with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can substitute half of the butter with mayonnaise before brushing, or try sprinkling with chili powder or grated Parmesan cheese instead of just salt and pepper.
