Method
- In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and fresh lemon juice. Stir until well blended. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to your liking. This spread will add a wonderful zesty and creamy element to your wrap.1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Gently warm the tortillas one at a time in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 20-30 seconds per side, or until they become pliable. This step makes them easier to roll without cracking. Alternatively, you can microwave them for a few seconds.4 large whole wheat or spinach tortillas
- Lay one warmed tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of the creamy Dijon spread evenly over the entire surface of the tortilla, leaving a small border.4 large whole wheat or spinach tortillas
- Arrange about 2 ounces (a quarter of the total) of the thinly sliced roasted turkey breast over the spread, covering about half to two-thirds of the tortilla.8 ounces thinly sliced roasted turkey breast
- Break the crispy cooked bacon slices in half and layer them over the turkey. Aim for 2 slices of bacon per wrap.8 slices crispy cooked bacon
- Scatter approximately 1/4 cup of shredded romaine lettuce over the turkey and bacon. Then, arrange a few slices of fresh tomato and thin slices of red onion on top of the lettuce. Finally, carefully place a portion of the sliced avocado over the vegetables.1 cup shredded romaine lettuce, 1/2 cup chopped ripe tomatoes, 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion, 1 ripe avocado
- To roll, fold the bottom edge of the tortilla up and over the filling. Then, tightly fold in the sides of the tortilla. Continue to roll the wrap upwards, keeping it snug to ensure the fillings stay in place.4 large whole wheat or spinach tortillas
- Repeat the assembly and rolling process with the remaining tortillas and ingredients. For easier handling and serving, you can slice each wrap in half diagonally.
Notes
It's advisable to add the avocado just before serving if possible, as it can brown over time. For the best texture, consuming the wraps at room temperature or chilled is recommended.
