Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Shredded Carrots Cooked until tender
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Applesauce Uncooked. Ensure it contains no added sugars or xylitol.
  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour Uncooked
  • 1/2 cup Rolled Oats Uncooked
  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened Plain Yogurt Uncooked. Ensure it is free from artificial sweeteners and xylitol.
  • 1 Large Egg Uncooked

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cooked carrots, unsweetened applesauce, whole wheat flour, and rolled oats.
    2 cups Shredded Carrots, 1 cup Unsweetened Applesauce, 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour, 1/2 cup Rolled Oats
  3. Add the plain yogurt and the large egg to the mixture.
    1/4 cup Unsweetened Plain Yogurt, 1 Large Egg
  4. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until a sticky dough forms.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  6. Cut the dough into small, bite-sized shapes using a knife or cookie cutters.
  7. Place the shaped crunchies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the crunchies are firm to the touch.
  9. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before serving to your dog.
