  • 1 teaspoon Water Optional, add if dough seems too dry.

Equipment

  • - Oven
  • - Baking Sheet
  • - Parchment Paper
  • Wire rack
  • Large Bowl

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking soda, and cinnamon until well combined.
2 cups Whole Wheat Flour, 1 teaspoon Baking Soda, 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  3. Add the shredded carrots, unsweetened applesauce, xylitol-free peanut butter, and eggs to the dry ingredients.
1 cup Shredded Carrots, 1/4 cup Unsweetened Applesauce, 1/4 cup Peanut Butter (xylitol-free and unsalted), 2 Large Eggs
  4. Mix everything together until a thick, sticky dough forms. If the dough seems too dry, add a teaspoon of water at a time until it reaches the desired consistency. If it’s too wet, add a little more flour.
    1 teaspoon Water
  5. Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each treat. You can also flatten them slightly with the back of a spoon.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and firm to the touch. The center should be cooked through.
  7. Allow the treats to cool completely on a wire rack before serving to your dog.
