Method

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture all over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are evenly coated.
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  2. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Let the chicken rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes before dicing or shredding it into bite-sized pieces.
  3. While the chicken is cooking or resting, prepare the dressing. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to your liking. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed – you might want a little more lemon for tang or Parmesan for cheesiness.
1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1 clove garlic, 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, Salt and black pepper
  4. Lay out your tortillas on a clean surface. Spread a generous amount of the Caesar dressing evenly over the surface of each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
4 large (10-inch) flour tortillas or whole wheat tortillas
  5. Top the dressing with a layer of chopped romaine lettuce, followed by the diced or shredded cooked chicken. If using, sprinkle croutons over the chicken and add an extra dash of grated Parmesan cheese.
2 cups chopped romaine lettuce, 1/4 cup croutons, Extra grated Parmesan cheese
  6. To roll the wraps tightly, fold in the sides of the tortilla first, then tightly roll up from the bottom edge.
  7. For a tidier presentation and easier eating, you can cut the Chicken Caesar Wraps in half diagonally. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade delight!

Notes

You can store leftover Chicken Caesar Wrap components separately for the best results. Refrigerate the cooked and diced chicken, Caesar dressing, and chopped romaine lettuce in airtight containers. These components will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. It’s best to assemble the wraps just before serving to prevent the tortillas from getting soggy.
If you wish to freeze the wraps for future enjoyment, it's recommended to freeze them *before* adding the lettuce and dressing. Wrap the assembled chicken and tortilla tightly in plastic wrap, then in foil, and place in a freezer-safe bag. Freeze for up to 1 month. To reheat, thaw the frozen wraps in the refrigerator overnight. Once thawed, you can add your fresh lettuce and dressing and enjoy. If reheating already assembled (but not frozen) wraps, it's best to do so in a panini press or a lightly buttered skillet to crisp up the tortilla.
This Chicken Caesar Wrap truly offers a perfect balance of convenience, flavor, and satisfaction. Don't hesitate to give this simple yet spectacular recipe a try – your taste buds (and your wallet!) will thank you!
