Method
- Start by brewing a strong cup of coffee or a shot of espresso. It’s crucial that your coffee is chilled before you begin, so brew it ahead of time or allow it to cool sufficiently. For best results, use a coffee roast you enjoy, as its flavor will be a prominent component of the final drink.
- In a small bowl or directly in your serving glass, combine the chilled coffee (or espresso), milk, heavy cream (if using), white sugar, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and nutmeg (if using).1.5 cups strong brewed coffee or espresso, chilled, 0.5 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, such as almond, oat, or soy), 2 tablespoons heavy cream, 2 tablespoons white sugar, or to taste, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract, pinch ground nutmeg
- Stir the mixture thoroughly until the sugar is completely dissolved. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness or cinnamon level to your preference. If you prefer a more pronounced cinnamon flavor, add another pinch.2 tablespoons white sugar, or to taste, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.ice cubes
- Pour the cinnamon-coffee mixture over the ice. Stir well to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly combined and the drink is nice and cold.
- In a very small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk (or cream), vanilla extract, and a pinch of cinnamon until smooth and drizzle-able. You’re aiming for a consistency similar to thin icing. If it’s too thick, add a tiny bit more milk; if it’s too thin, add a touch more powdered sugar.2 tablespoons powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon milk or cream, 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract, pinch cinnamon
- Drizzle the cinnamon roll glaze artfully over the top of your Cinnamon Roll Iced Latte. You can also add a little extra sprinkle of cinnamon on top if you like. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade delight!
