Method
- Brew 1-2 shots of espresso using your espresso machine, or prepare 1-2 ounces of very strongly brewed coffee (like a double shot of drip coffee). Set aside to cool slightly.1-2 shots freshly brewed espresso or strongly brewed coffee
- Pour 2 tablespoons of vanilla syrup into the bottom of your serving glass.2 tablespoons vanilla syrup
- Add 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce on top of the vanilla syrup. This will create a delicious base for your macchiato.2 tablespoons caramel sauce
- Fill your serving glass about two-thirds full with ice cubes. Gently pour in 1 cup of cold milk over the ice.ice cubes, 1 cup whole milk or your preferred milk alternative
- Slowly and carefully pour the freshly brewed espresso over the milk. The denser espresso should layer on top of the milk and syrup mixture, creating the signature macchiato look. If your espresso is still hot, you can let it cool for a minute or two before pouring to prevent it from mixing too quickly.1-2 shots freshly brewed espresso or strongly brewed coffee
- Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the top of the drink, creating swirls and patterns for a visually appealing finish.2 tablespoons caramel sauce
- If desired, top your Classic Iced Caramel Macchiato with a generous dollop of whipped cream and an extra caramel drizzle.whipped cream, 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
- Stir gently before enjoying to combine the flavors.
