Method
- Start by brewing 1-2 shots of your favorite espresso. If you don't have an espresso machine, a Moka pot or AeroPress can also yield a strong, concentrated coffee shot. Allow the espresso to cool for a minute or two so it doesn't melt the ice too quickly.1-2 shots freshly brewed espresso
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Make sure to use plenty of ice to keep your drink perfectly chilled.1 cup ice cubes
- If you prefer a sweetened drink, add your chosen sweetener to the bottom of the glass. For best results, use simple syrup or dissolve sugar in a small amount of warm espresso before adding it to the ice.1-2 teaspoons sweetener
- Carefully pour the freshly brewed espresso over the ice-filled glass.1-2 shots freshly brewed espresso, 1 cup ice cubes
- Pour your preferred milk over the espresso and ice. Adjust the amount of milk to your liking – more milk for a creamier, milder drink, less for a bolder espresso flavor.1/2 cup milk of your choice, 1-2 shots freshly brewed espresso, 1 cup ice cubes
- Gently stir all the ingredients together to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary. Serve immediately and savor your homemade iced espresso!1/2 cup milk of your choice, 1-2 shots freshly brewed espresso, 1 cup ice cubes, 1-2 teaspoons sweetener
Notes
For best results, it's always recommended to make and consume your iced espresso immediately. If you must store it, refrigerate in an airtight container and consume within 24 hours. You can also freeze leftover espresso in ice cube trays for future use.
