Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats old-fashioned oats work best for texture
  • 1 cup milk of choice dairy, almond, soy, oat, or coconut milk all work beautifully
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1-2 teaspoons sweetener of choice maple syrup, honey, agave, or granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • pinch cinnamon optional

  • Medium-sized jar, bowl, or airtight container

Method
 

  1. In a medium-sized jar, bowl, or airtight container, add the 1/2 cup of rolled oats. If you are using chia seeds, add them now as well. For an extra layer of warmth and flavor, stir in a pinch of cinnamon at this stage.

  2. Pour in 1 cup of your chosen milk. If you’re opting for vanilla extract to enhance the aroma and taste, add it now.

  3. Add your sweetener of choice. Start with 1-2 teaspoons and adjust based on your personal preference. Stir everything thoroughly to ensure the sweetener is well dissolved and evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

  4. Securely close the lid of your container or cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap. Place the mixture in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 4 hours, but ideally overnight.
  5. In the morning (or whenever you're ready to eat!), give your Cozy Classic Overnight Oats a good stir. If the mixture is too thick for your liking, you can add a splash more milk until it reaches your desired consistency. Garnish with your favorite toppings and dig in!

Notes

Refrigerate for up to 3-4 days. Can be frozen for up to 2-3 months. Gently reheat if preferred warm.
