- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the rolled oats, vanilla protein powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, and powdered peanut butter. Stir well with a whisk or spatula until all the dry ingredients are thoroughly combined.1 cup rolled oats, 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder, 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/4 cup powdered peanut butter
- Add the softened cream cheese, honey or maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract to the bowl with the dry ingredients. Begin to mix with a spatula or your hands until a thick dough-like consistency forms. You might need to add a tiny bit more milk, a tablespoon at a time, if the mixture seems too dry and crumbly to hold together. Similarly, if it’s too wet, you can add a little more protein powder or oats.1/4 cup cream cheese, 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup, 1/4 cup milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Gently fold in the finely crushed Oreo cookies into the dough. Make sure the Oreos are distributed evenly throughout the mixture.8 Oreo cookies Oreo cookies
- Once the dough is well combined, take about one tablespoon of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form a compact ball. Continue this process until all the dough has been used to create protein balls.
- If desired, roll each protein ball in additional finely crushed Oreos or mini chocolate chips for an extra layer of flavor and texture. Place the finished protein balls on a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.Optional additional crushed Oreos or chocolate chips
- Place the plate or baking sheet with the protein balls into the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up.
