Method
- In a jar, container, or bowl, stir together the rolled oats and chia seeds.1/2 cup rolled oats, 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- Pour in your milk of choice, followed by the Greek yogurt.1 cup milk of choice, 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- Drizzle in the maple syrup or honey and add the vanilla extract. Stir everything together until well combined, ensuring no clumps of oats or chia seeds remain at the bottom.1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Gently fold in the mixed berries. If using frozen berries, they will thaw overnight and release their delicious juices, infusing the oats with flavor. If using fresh berries, you can also reserve some to add as a topping in the morning.1/2 cup mixed berries
- Cover the container tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
- In the morning, give your Creamy Berry Overnight Oats a good stir. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a splash more milk to reach your desired consistency. Top with your favorite additions like more fresh berries, a sprinkle of crunchy granola, or a scattering of nuts for added texture and flavor.fresh berries, granola, chopped nuts, extra yogurt, shredded coconut
Notes
Store prepared overnight oats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. They will continue to set and thicken as they sit, making them even creamier.
