Ingredients

  • 1 cup Plain, Unsweetened Greek Yogurt Mashed
  • 1/2 cup Cucumber, Seeded and Grated Peeled, seeded, grated, and excess moisture squeezed out
  • 1/4 cup Oats (Rolled or Quick) Uncooked
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Mint Finely chopped (Optional)

Equipment

  • Medium Bowl
  • Paper Towel
  • Tablespoon
  • Baking sheet or plate
  • - Parchment Paper

Method

  1. Grate the peeled and seeded cucumber. Use a paper towel to gently squeeze out excess moisture. This prevents the treats from becoming too watery.
1/2 cup Cucumber, Seeded and Grated
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, and rolled oats. If using, add the finely chopped fresh mint.
1 cup Plain, Unsweetened Greek Yogurt, 1/2 cup Cucumber, Seeded and Grated, 1/4 cup Oats (Rolled or Quick), 1 tablespoon Fresh Mint
  3. Stir all the ingredients together until well combined. The mixture should be thick enough to scoop.
  4. Using a tablespoon, scoop portions of the mixture and gently roll them into small balls or press them into small, flattened discs.
  5. Place the formed treats on a parchment-lined baking sheet or a plate. Freeze for at least 30 minutes, or until firm enough to handle.

Notes

Store leftover treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 1-2 months. Serve chilled or at room temperature. Avoid microwaving.
Feed 1-2 small treats for small dogs, 2-3 for medium dogs, and 3-4 for large breeds daily, as an occasional indulgence or training reward.
Puppies can enjoy these treats in moderation. Introduce new treats gradually and consult your veterinarian for any allergy or health concerns.
