Ingredients

  • 1 cup Low-Sodium Chicken Broth (unsalted) The base of our gravy, providing hydration and a savory flavor dogs adore. Essential for moisture content and healthy digestion.
  • 1/2 cup Cooked, Plain Chicken Breast shredded or finely diced. An excellent source of lean protein for muscle development and overall energy. Adds a delicious, meaty flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Cooked Sweet Potato mashed. Packed with fiber for digestive health, as well as essential vitamins like A and C. Adds a touch of natural sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon Cooked Grated Carrots Rich in beta-carotene, which converts to Vitamin A, supporting vision and immune function. Provides additional fiber.
  • 1 teaspoon Unsweetened Applesauce A natural source of fiber and a touch of sweetness, promoting good digestion and a healthy gut.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Plain Cooked Oatmeal cooked with water, no additives. Adds beneficial soluble fiber, which can help regulate digestion and provide sustained energy release.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dried Parsley optional. A natural breath freshener and a source of mild antioxidants.

Equipment

  • Small Saucepan
  • Airtight container
  • Ice cube trays (optional for freezing)

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, gently heat the low-sodium chicken broth over medium-low heat. Do not bring to a boil.
1 cup Low-Sodium Chicken Broth (unsalted)
  2. Add the cooked, shredded chicken, mashed sweet potato, grated carrots, unsweetened applesauce, and cooked oatmeal to the warm broth.
1/2 cup Cooked, Plain Chicken Breast, 1/4 cup Cooked Sweet Potato, 1 tablespoon Cooked Grated Carrots, 1 teaspoon Unsweetened Applesauce, 1/2 teaspoon Plain Cooked Oatmeal
  3. Stir all ingredients together thoroughly. Allow the mixture to simmer gently for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until all ingredients are combined and warmed through. The texture should be slightly thickened but still pourable.
  4. If using, stir in the dried parsley for an extra touch of freshness.
    1/4 teaspoon Dried Parsley
  5. Remove from heat and let the gravy cool completely to a safe, lukewarm temperature before serving it to your dog.
