- Begin by trimming any excess fat from your sirloin steak. Then, cut the steak into uniform 1-inch cubes. This ensures even cooking and easy-to-eat bites. Pat the steak bites dry with paper towels to help them sear slightly even though we are not searing in this recipe, this can help with texture.1.5 pounds sirloin steak
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. This forms the flavorful base of your crockpot sauce.1/2 cup beef broth, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- To the bowl with the wet ingredients, add the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until everything is well combined.1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Place the steak bites into your slow cooker. Pour the prepared sauce mixture over the steak, ensuring each bite is coated.1.5 pounds sirloin steak, 1/2 cup beef broth, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for 2-3 hours or on HIGH for 1.5-2 hours. The exact cooking time will depend on your slow cooker and how you like your steak cooked. We are aiming for tender and juicy, not tough. For a more tender bite, err on the side of longer cooking time on low.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, remove the lid during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Stir in the cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons of water). Stir gently and let it simmer uncovered until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.Optional: Cornstarch slurry
- Once the steak is tender and cooked through, remove the lid. Let the steak bites rest in the sauce for about 5-10 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute.
- Serve the Easy Crockpot Steak Bites directly from the slow cooker. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness, and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if you like a little heat.Optional: Fresh parsley, Optional: Red pepper flakes
Notes
Store refrigerated steak bites in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Freeze for up to 2-3 months. Reheat gently on low heat or microwave.
