Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsweetened Applesauce Mashed
  • 1/2 cup Plain, Unsweetened Yogurt (Greek or regular) Mashed or whizzed. Ensure it contains no artificial sweeteners like xylitol.
  • 1 Ripe Banana Mashed.
  • 1 tablespoon Natural Peanut Butter (xylitol-free) Smooth. Ensure it's free of xylitol.

Equipment

  • Medium Bowl
  • Ice cube trays
  • Small, dog-safe, freezer-safe cups
  • Silicone muffin liners
  • Freezer

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, mash together the unsweetened applesauce and the ripe banana until they form a mostly smooth mixture with small banana chunks.
1 cup Unsweetened Applesauce, 1 Ripe Banana
  2. Add the plain, unsweetened yogurt and the xylitol-free natural peanut butter to the fruit mixture.
1/2 cup Plain, Unsweetened Yogurt (Greek or regular), 1 tablespoon Natural Peanut Butter (xylitol-free)
  3. Stir all the ingredients together until they are well combined and form a thick, uniform consistency.
  4. Spoon the mixture into ice cube trays or small, dog-safe, freezer-safe cups (silicone muffin liners work well). Fill each cup about three-quarters full to allow for expansion.
  5. Place the trays or cups in the freezer for at least 4–6 hours, or until completely solid.

Notes

All ingredients are dog-safe when used in moderation. Always double-check peanut butter is xylitol-free. Introduce slowly. Consult vet for allergies.
