Servings: 4 mocktails
Course: Drink, Mocktail
Cuisine: Fruity

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Fresh Strawberries hulled and quartered
  • 0.25 cup Lime Juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.25 cup Simple Syrup or agave nectar for a healthier option, adjust to taste
  • 2 cups Sparkling Water or Club Soda, chilled
  • 6-8 leaves Fresh Mint Leaves plus extra for garnish
  • Ice Cubes Enough to fill glasses

Equipment

  • Small Bowl
  • Muddler
  • Spoon
  • Fine mesh sieve
  • Pitcher
  • Serving glasses

Method

  1. In a small bowl, lightly muddle the quartered fresh strawberries. You want to release their juices and flavor without turning them into a complete puree. Gentle pressing with a muddler or the back of a spoon is sufficient.
    1.5 cups Fresh Strawberries
  2. To the muddled strawberries, add the freshly squeezed lime juice and simple syrup (or agave nectar). Stir well to combine everything. This creates the flavor foundation for your mocktail.
1.5 cups Fresh Strawberries, 0.25 cup Lime Juice, 0.25 cup Simple Syrup
  3. Add the fresh mint leaves to the strawberry and lime mixture. Gently muddle them a couple of times to release their aromatic oils. Be careful not to over-muddle, as this can make the mint bitter.
6-8 leaves Fresh Mint Leaves, 1.5 cups Fresh Strawberries, 0.25 cup Lime Juice, 0.25 cup Simple Syrup
  4. Pour the strawberry-lime-mint mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher or directly into your serving glasses. Press gently on the solids with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids. This step ensures a smooth, pulp-free mocktail.
1.5 cups Fresh Strawberries, 0.25 cup Lime Juice, 0.25 cup Simple Syrup, 6-8 leaves Fresh Mint Leaves
  5. Fill your serving glasses with ice cubes. Pour the strained strawberry mixture over the ice, filling each glass about halfway or two-thirds full, depending on your preference for sweetness and strength.

  6. Slowly top off each glass with chilled sparkling water or club soda. This adds the refreshing effervescence that makes this mocktail so delightful.
    2 cups Sparkling Water
  7. Gently stir each mocktail to combine. Garnish with a few fresh mint leaves and perhaps a slice of fresh strawberry on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately and enjoy the delightful taste of your Easy Fresh Strawberry Mocktail.
6-8 leaves Fresh Mint Leaves, 1.5 cups Fresh Strawberries

Notes

To store leftover mocktail base (before adding sparkling water), refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Shake well before serving and add sparkling water. Freezing the mixed mocktail is not recommended due to loss of carbonation. Extra muddled strawberries can be frozen for future smoothies.
