Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the unsweetened applesauce, natural peanut butter, and melted coconut oil until well combined and smooth.

  2. Gently stir in the rolled oats, chopped dried cherries, and chia seeds into the wet mixture. Continue mixing until all ingredients are evenly distributed and a sticky dough forms.

  3. Take approximately one tablespoon of the mixture at a time and roll it between your palms to form small, bite-sized balls. Place the formed balls onto a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Once all the mixture has been formed into balls, place the plate or baking sheet into the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the treats to firm up.
