- Begin by crushing your Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. You can do this by placing them in a food processor and pulsing until finely ground, or by placing them in a resealable plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin. Ensure there are no large chunks remaining.1 (14.3 ounce) package Oreo cookies
- In a medium bowl, add the finely crushed Oreo crumbs and the softened cream cheese. Mix thoroughly until the cream cheese is fully incorporated and the mixture forms a cohesive dough. This should be a thick, moldable consistency.1 (14.3 ounce) package Oreo cookies, 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- Using your hands, roll the Oreo mixture into small, bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get roughly 36 truffles from this batch. Place the rolled balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wax paper.
- Once all the balls are formed, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This chilling step is crucial as it helps the truffles firm up, making them much easier to dip in chocolate.
- While the truffles are chilling, prepare your chocolate coating. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and the coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- Remove the chilled Oreo balls from the refrigerator. Using a fork or a toothpick, dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Gently tap off any excess chocolate before placing the dipped truffle back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- While the chocolate coating is still wet, you can add your Valentine's Day decorations. Sprinkle with Valentine's Day sprinkles, drizzle with melted pink candy melts, or add finely chopped white chocolate chips. If you want to add a pink hue to the truffles themselves before dipping, you can knead a few drops of red food coloring into the Oreo and cream cheese mixture in step 2.Valentine's Day sprinkles, red food coloring, pink candy melts, white chocolate chips, freeze-dried strawberries
- Allow the chocolate-covered truffles to set at room temperature for a few minutes, or place them back in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes to speed up the setting process.
- Once the chocolate has hardened, your Easy No-Bake Valentine's Day Oreo Truffles are ready to be enjoyed or gifted!
