- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, dry vegetable soup mix, dried parsley, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Stir vigorously with a whisk or spoon until all dry ingredients are evenly distributed and the mixture is smooth.
- Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap or transfer the dip to an airtight container.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight. This resting time is essential for the dried vegetables to hydrate and the flavors to meld together for the best taste.
- Before serving, give the dip a quick stir. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary (a pinch of salt or pepper if desired).
- Serve cold alongside your favorite assortment of fresh vegetables, crackers, or chips.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt. Do not substitute the dried soup mix with fresh vegetables as the liquid content will ruin the consistency.
