Ingredients

Dip Base
  • 16 oz sour cream Full fat recommended
  • 1 package dry vegetable soup mix Containing dried onion, carrots, and celery
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
For Serving
  • 2 cups fresh vegetables Carrots, celery sticks, bell pepper slices, broccoli florets

Method

Instructions
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, dry vegetable soup mix, dried parsley, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Stir vigorously with a whisk or spoon until all dry ingredients are evenly distributed and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap or transfer the dip to an airtight container.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight. This resting time is essential for the dried vegetables to hydrate and the flavors to meld together for the best taste.
  5. Before serving, give the dip a quick stir. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary (a pinch of salt or pepper if desired).
  6. Serve cold alongside your favorite assortment of fresh vegetables, crackers, or chips.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt. Do not substitute the dried soup mix with fresh vegetables as the liquid content will ruin the consistency.
