Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground turkey A lean protein source essential for muscle development and repair, easily digestible for sensitive stomachs.
  • 1 cup cooked sweet potato Mashed or pureed, providing complex carbohydrates for sustained energy, rich in Vitamin A for vision and immune support, and a good source of fiber.
  • 1/2 cup cooked peas Offer fiber for digestive health and are packed with vitamins and minerals like Vitamin K and manganese.
  • 1/4 cup cooked carrots Finely chopped or shredded, these add beta-carotene for skin and coat health, as well as essential vitamins.
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds A superfood that adds beneficial omega-3 fatty acids for skin and coat health and aids in digestion.
  • 1 teaspoon flaxseed oil Another excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, promoting a shiny coat and healthy skin.

Method
 

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey, breaking it up with a spoon. Continue cooking until it is thoroughly browned and no pink remains, about 8-10 minutes. Drain any excess grease.

  2. Ensure your sweet potato is mashed until smooth. If your carrots aren't already cooked and soft, boil or steam them until tender, then finely chop or shred them. Cook peas according to package directions or until tender.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground turkey, mashed sweet potato, cooked peas, and cooked carrots.

  4. Sprinkle in the chia seeds and drizzle the flaxseed oil over the mixture.

  5. Gently stir all the ingredients together until everything is evenly distributed. Ensure the consistency is palatable for your dog.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool down to room temperature before serving it to your dog.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze portions for up to 2-3 months. Reheat gently, never reheat more than once. Always consult your veterinarian for personalized feeding recommendations.
