- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cooked and cooled rolled oats and baking soda.1 cup Rolled Oats, 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- To the dry ingredients, add the finely chopped fresh parsley, plain unsweetened applesauce, and melted coconut oil. Mix well until a dough forms.1/2 cup Fresh Parsley, 1/4 cup Plain Unsweetened Applesauce, 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil
- If the dough seems too dry, add a tablespoon of water at a time until it's pliable and easy to handle.1/4 cup Water
- Roll small portions of the dough into bite-sized balls, about the size of a large blueberry. You can also lightly flatten them with your fingers or a fork.
- Place the formed treats onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between them. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the treats are firm to the touch.
- Remove from the oven and let the Homemade Breath Mint Dog Treats cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
