1 cup cooked, shredded chicken breast, 1/2 cup cooked, mashed sweet potato
  2. Stir in the rolled oats and the unsweetened applesauce. If using, add the plain yogurt now.
1/4 cup rolled oats (uncooked), 1 tablespoon unsweetened applesauce, 1 tablespoon plain, unsweetened yogurt
  3. Mix until a thick, slightly sticky dough forms. If it's too dry, add a tiny bit more applesauce; if too wet, add a tablespoon more oats. Roll the dough into small, bite-sized balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
  4. Place the formed treats onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in an oven preheated to 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until the outsides are lightly golden and firm to the touch.
  5. Remove the treats from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack before serving to your dog.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Freeze for up to 2 months. Always allow to thaw completely before serving. Warm gently if desired, ensuring they are not hot.
