- In a medium bowl, combine the cooked, shredded chicken, mashed sweet potato, unsweetened applesauce, and plain pumpkin puree. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well-integrated.1 cup cooked, unseasoned chicken breast, 1 cup cooked sweet potato, 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce, 2 tablespoons pure pumpkin puree
- Stir in the chia seeds until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.1 tablespoon chia seeds
- Pour the boiling water over the chia seed mixture. Stir quickly for about 30 seconds until the mixture begins to thicken slightly. This process helps the chia seeds form a gel-like consistency.1/4 cup boiling water, 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- Spoon small mounds of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Alternatively, you can use small, dog-safe silicone molds for fun shapes. Aim for bite-sized portions suitable for your dog.
- Place the baking sheet or molds in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours, or until the gummies are firm and have set completely.
