  • 0.5 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter xylitol-free
  • 0.25 cup water adjust as needed

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, rolled oats, and dried parsley until well combined.
1.5 cups whole wheat flour, 0.5 cup rolled oats, 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  3. Add the xylitol-free peanut butter to the dry ingredients. Gradually stir in the water, mixing until a stiff dough forms that is not sticky. You may need to add a little more water or flour to achieve the right consistency.
2 tablespoons natural peanut butter, 0.25 cup water
  4. Lightly flour a clean surface. Roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use a cookie cutter to cut out your desired shapes. You can also simply flatten small portions and roll them into balls or small logs.
  5. Place the cut-out treats onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the treats are firm and golden brown, depending on their thickness.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the Homemade Dental Dog Treats cool completely on a wire rack before serving or storing. This ensures they are crisp and safe for your dog to enjoy.
