Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Lean ground turkey or chicken Cooked, drained
  • 1 cup Oats Plain, cooked according to package directions
  • 1/2 cup Sweet potato Mashed, cooked
  • 1/4 cup Salmon oil Added after cooking, not heated
  • 1 tablespoon Ground flaxseed Ground
  • 1/4 cup Carrots Cooked until soft, then finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Peas Cooked and lightly mashed

Method
 

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the lean ground turkey or chicken until it is fully browned and no pink remains. Drain off any excess fat thoroughly.

  2. While the protein is cooking, prepare the oats according to package directions (ensure it's plain oats, no added sugar or flavor). Cook the carrots and peas until tender. Mash the cooked sweet potato.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the drained, cooked ground turkey or chicken, cooked oats, mashed sweet potato, cooked and chopped carrots, and cooked peas.

  4. Stir in the cooked salmon oil and ground flaxseed until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
