Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Brown Rice, Cooked
  • 1.5 pounds Lean Ground Turkey
  • 1 cup Sweet Potato, Cooked and Mashed
  • 1 cup Green Beans, Steamed and Chopped
  • 1/2 cup Carrots, Steamed and Finely Diced
  • 1/4 cup Flaxseed Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Turmeric Optional, with caution. Introduce slowly and monitor for any digestive upset. Consult your vet before adding.

Method
 

  1. Cook 2 cups of brown rice according to package instructions. Aim for a tender texture.

  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook 1.5 pounds of lean ground turkey until thoroughly browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain off any excess fat.

  3. Steam 1 cup of green beans until tender-crisp and chop them finely. Steam 1/2 cup of carrots until soft and dice them finely. Cook and mash 1 cup of sweet potato until smooth.

  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked brown rice, browned ground turkey, mashed sweet potato, chopped green beans, and diced carrots.

  5. Drizzle in 1/4 cup of flaxseed oil and add 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric (if using).

  6. Gently but thoroughly mix all ingredients together until well combined. Ensure the oil and any optional turmeric are evenly distributed.
  7. Allow the mixture to cool completely before serving to your dog.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Can be frozen for 2-3 months. Gently reheat before serving.
