Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Cooked Brown Rice plain, with no added salt or seasonings
  • 1/2 cup Cooked Sweet Potato, mashed Steam or boil until tender before mashing.
  • 1/2 cup Cooked Carrots, chopped Cook until soft.
  • 1/4 cup Cooked Peas Ensure they are cooked thoroughly.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, brown the 1 pound of lean ground beef over medium heat. Stir occasionally until it's fully cooked through and no pink remains. Drain off any excess fat.

  2. While the beef cooks (or beforehand), ensure your brown rice is cooked according to package directions. Steam or boil the sweet potato until tender and mash it. Chop the cooked carrots and ensure the peas are cooked until soft.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked and drained ground beef, cooked brown rice, mashed sweet potato, chopped carrots, and cooked peas.

  4. Drizzle the 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the mixture.

  5. Gently mix all the ingredients together until they are well combined. Ensure the olive oil is evenly distributed throughout the food.

  6. Allow the homemade dog food ground beef mixture to cool completely to room temperature before serving to your dog. This minimizes the risk of thermal burns.
