  • 1/2 cup Organic Peanut Butter xylitol-free and unsalted. A fantastic source of protein and healthy fats, keeping your dog energized and their coat shiny.
  • 1/4 cup Mashed Banana Offers potassium for muscle function and is a source of natural sweetness and fiber for digestion.
  • 1/4 cup Pureed Strawberries hulled and de-seeded. Packed with antioxidants and Vitamin C, contributing to immune health and adding a delightful flavor.

Equipment

  • Medium Bowl
  • Ice cube trays or silicone molds
  • Small paper cups (optional)
  • Dog-safe chew stick or sturdy small stick (optional)

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, thoroughly mix together the plain, unsweetened yogurt, organic peanut butter, mashed banana, and pureed strawberries until well combined. Aim for a smooth, consistent texture.
1 cup Plain, Unsweetened Yogurt, 1/2 cup Organic Peanut Butter, 1/4 cup Mashed Banana, 1/4 cup Pureed Strawberries
  2. Spoon the mixture into individual ice cube trays or silicone molds designed for pets. You can also use small paper cups if you don't have molds. Fill each mold about two-thirds full to allow for expansion.
  3. If using molds or paper cups, insert a dog-safe chew stick or a sturdy small stick into the center of each pup with a few minutes of freezing time left. This creates an easy-to-hold treat.
  4. Place the filled trays or molds into the freezer. Let them freeze completely for at least 4-6 hours, or until firm.
  5. Once frozen solid, pop out the pupsicles and serve them to your happy dog as a refreshing treat.

Notes

Moderation is key. Small dogs: 1-2 small pupsicles/day. Medium dogs: 2-3 small or 1 larger/day. Large dogs: 3-4 small or 1-2 larger/day. These pupsicles can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or in the freezer for 1-2 months. Thaw slightly for 5-10 minutes before serving.
