- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- In a medium bowl, add the drained tuna, egg, and unsweetened applesauce. Mash and mix thoroughly with a fork until well combined.1 can (5-6 ounces) Tuna in Water, drained, 1 Egg, 2 tablespoons Unsweetened Applesauce
- Stir in the rolled oats and ground flaxseed into the tuna mixture. Mix until everything is evenly distributed and a thick batter forms.1/2 cup Rolled Oats, 1 tablespoon Ground Flaxseed
- Using a tablespoon, drop small mounds of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each puff. You can gently flatten them slightly with the back of the spoon if desired.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown and the treats are firm to the touch.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the homemade tuna puffs dog cat treats cool completely on the sheet before serving or storing.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days. Can be frozen for up to 2-3 months.
