Ingredients

Smoothie Base
  • 3 cups honeydew melon cubed and frozen
  • 1.5 cups frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup coconut water or almond milk for creamier texture
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice optional, for brightness
  • 1 teaspoon ginger freshly grated, optional
Optional Sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon honey or agave nectar adjust to taste, depending on melon sweetness

Method

Instructions
  1. Ensure the honeydew melon is peeled, seeded, cubed, and frozen for at least 4 hours (or overnight). This is key for a thick texture.
  2. Add all the solid ingredients into your high-speed blender first: the frozen honeydew cubes and the frozen pineapple chunks.
  3. Pour in the coconut water (starting with 3/4 cup) and the fresh lime juice. If using, add the grated ginger.
  4. Begin blending on a low setting, gradually increasing the speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Use the tamper tool if necessary to push ingredients towards the blade.
  5. If the smoothie is too thick, add the remaining coconut water 1 tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached. Taste and add honey or agave if needed.
  6. Pour immediately into chilled glasses and serve garnished with a small piece of fresh pineapple or a mint sprig.

Notes

For a protein boost, add 1 scoop of vanilla or unflavored collagen peptides or protein powder before blending. Using frozen fruit eliminates the need for ice, resulting in a more intense flavor.
