- Steep the Earl Grey tea bag in 2 tablespoons of very hot water for 4-5 minutes to create a strong concentrate. Do not over-steep, as it can become bitter.
- While the tea is steeping, add the vanilla syrup to the bottom of your serving glass.
- Remove the tea bag from the concentrate and stir in the vanilla syrup, ensuring it dissolves completely into the hot tea.
- Fill your serving glass generously with ice cubes.
- Pour the chilled vanilla-tea concentrate over the ice.
- Slowly top the mixture with 1 cup of your preferred milk, pouring over the back of a spoon if you want layering.
- Stir gently to combine all ingredients and enjoy immediately.
Notes
For a sweeter drink, feel free to add an extra half teaspoon of vanilla syrup directly to the milk before pouring. Chill the tea concentrate ahead of time for faster preparation.
