Ingredients

Tea Base
  • 4 cups Water
  • 4 tea bags Green Tea High quality preferred
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger Thinly sliced or grated
Flavoring & Sweetener
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Orange Juice Pulp removed
  • 1 large Orange Peeled and sliced for garnish
  • 2-4 tablespoons Honey or Maple Syrup Adjust to taste
Serving
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes For serving

Method

Instructions
  1. Bring the 4 cups of water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan.
  2. Remove the water from the heat and immediately add the sliced ginger and green tea bags. Steep for exactly 5 minutes. Do not over-steep to avoid bitterness.
  3. Remove and discard the tea bags. Stir in the honey or maple syrup until fully dissolved into the warm tea concentrate.
  4. Pour the tea concentrate into a large pitcher. Add the fresh orange juice and stir well to combine. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until completely cold.
  5. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled orange ginger tea over the ice.
  6. Garnish each glass with a fresh slice of orange and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra refreshing kick, use an orange peel strip instead of sliced fruit for garnish. Ensure the tea is fully cooled before adding ice to prevent excessive dilution.
