Ingredients

Tea Base
  • 4 cups Water For brewing
  • 4 Green Tea Bags Or 4 tsp loose leaf tea
  • 1 cup Pineapple Juice 100% pure, unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Mint Leaves Lightly packed
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice Approximately 1 lime
  • 2-4 tablespoons Sweetener Maple syrup or simple syrup, to taste
For Serving
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes Per glass
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Pineapple Chunks For garnish

Method

Instructions
  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Remove the water from the heat. Add the green tea bags and steep for 3-4 minutes, depending on desired strength. Do not over-steep to avoid bitterness.
  3. Remove the tea bags and immediately stir in the fresh mint leaves. Allow the tea to cool slightly (about 5 minutes) while the mint infuses.
  4. Strain the tea mixture into a large pitcher to remove the steeped tea bags and mint leaves. While the tea is still warm, stir in the pineapple juice, lime juice, and your chosen sweetener until fully dissolved.
  5. Refrigerate the tea mixture for at least 1 hour to chill completely.
  6. To serve, fill tall glasses with ice. Pour the chilled Iced Pineapple Mint Green Tea over the ice, garnish each glass with fresh pineapple chunks and a sprig of mint.

Notes

For a professional presentation, muddle a few extra mint leaves and pineapple chunks in the bottom of the serving glasses before adding ice and pouring the tea. If using loose leaf tea, use a fine mesh strainer when transferring the brewed tea if necessary.
