Method
- Start by brewing your espresso or strong coffee. If you’re using regular coffee, brew it double-strength. Allow it to cool completely, or even chill it in the refrigerator for a faster-moving process. For the best mocha iced coffee experience, cold coffee is key to prevent watering down the final drink.2 shots strong brewed espresso or very strong brewed coffee, chilled
- In a tall glass, combine the chocolate syrup, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir these together until the sugar begins to dissolve into the syrup. This pre-mixing helps ensure the sugar disperses evenly throughout your drink.2 tablespoons chocolate syrup, 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pour the chilled milk into the glass. Stir the mixture well to incorporate the chocolate syrup, sugar, and vanilla extract into the milk. You want a smooth, uniform base for your mocha iced coffee.1/2 cup milk
- Add the chilled espresso or strong brewed coffee to the glass. Stir everything together thoroughly to blend the coffee with the chocolate-milk mixture.2 shots strong brewed espresso or very strong brewed coffee, chilled
- Fill the glass generously with ice cubes. Stir the drink again to ensure it’s thoroughly chilled.Ice cubes
- For that authentic Jack in the Box Mocha Iced Coffee experience, top your creation with a swirl of whipped cream. You can also add a few chocolate shavings or an extra drizzle of chocolate syrup for an even more decadent finish.whipped cream, chocolate shavings, drizzle of chocolate syrup
Notes
Leftover Jack in the Box Mocha Iced Coffee is best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. It's important to note that the ice will melt over time, potentially diluting the coffee. For the best taste, it’s recommended to make only what you plan to consume immediately. If you wish to prepare ahead, you can brew and chill your espresso/coffee and pre-mix the chocolate and sugar mixture separately. Combine and add ice just before serving for optimal freshness and texture. Freezing this particular drink is not recommended as it can alter the texture of the milk and chocolate components.
