Method
- Brew your favorite coffee. For the best flavor, brew it strong – think of it as making an espresso or a concentrated French press coffee. Once brewed, let it cool down completely. You can speed this up by brewing it ahead of time and refrigerating it.
- While your coffee is cooling, gather all your other ingredients. Having everything ready beforehand ensures a smooth and quick assembly process.
- In a tall glass, combine the chilled coffee, milk, pure maple syrup, and vanilla extract. The maple syrup is the star here, providing a natural sweetness and a hint of caramel-like depth. Vanilla extract adds another layer of warmth and complexity.1 cup strong brewed coffee, 1/2 cup milk, 2-3 tablespoons pure maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Stir the ingredients thoroughly until the maple syrup and vanilla extract are fully incorporated into the coffee and milk mixture. You want a homogenous blend.2-3 tablespoons pure maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Fill your glass generously with ice cubes. The more ice, the colder and more refreshing your iced coffee will be.ice cubes
- Give it one last quick stir if needed. For an extra special treat, top your Maple Iced Coffee with a swirl of whipped cream and an additional drizzle of maple syrup or a sprinkle of cinnamon. Enjoy immediately!whipped cream, drizzle of maple syrup, sprinkle of cinnamon
Notes
Leftover Maple Iced Coffee can be stored in an airtight container or the glass you made it in, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. The flavors will meld even further, which can be quite enjoyable! You can freeze portions of the coffee mixture (before adding ice) in ice cube trays. Once frozen, transfer the maple coffee ice cubes to a freezer-safe bag. This allows you to easily create more iced coffee later without diluting it with plain ice.
