Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 pint Cherry Tomatoes Halved
  • 8 ounces Fresh Mozzarella Balls Bocconcini or Ciliegine, drained and halved if large
  • 24 Fresh Basil Leaves Small, whole leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic Glaze Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil Extra virgin, optional
  • Salt To taste
  • Black Pepper Freshly ground, to taste

Method

Instructions
  1. Prepare your ingredients: ensure cherry tomatoes are washed and halved, mozzarella balls are drained and halved if necessary, and basil leaves are washed and patted dry.
  2. Assemble the bites: thread one cherry tomato half onto a small toothpick or decorative party skewer. Follow with one basil leaf, slightly folded if large, and then one piece of mozzarella.
  3. Arrange the assembled Caprese bites on a serving platter in a visually appealing manner.
  4. Lightly drizzle the assembled bites with extra virgin olive oil, if using. Season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Just before serving, generously drizzle the bites with balsamic glaze.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy these fresh, flavorful bites!

Notes

For a shortcut, use mini mozzarella pearls. Ensure the balsamic glaze is thick enough not to run off the bites. These are best served shortly after assembly to maintain freshness.
