Ingredients
  

  • 300 g all-purpose flour
  • 300 g granulated sugar
  • 150 g unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs approx. 200g
  • 240 g whole milk
  • 10 g baking powder
  • 5 g vanilla extract
  • 2 g salt
  • 500 g unsalted butter for frosting
  • 1000 g powdered sugar
  • 60 g heavy cream
  • 10 g vanilla extract
  • Food coloring blue, white, etc.
  • Fondant various colors
  • Edible glitter and pearls
  • Piping gel for water effect

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Cake Batter:
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients:
  4. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  5. Bake the Cake:
  6. Divide batter into greased cake pans. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes. Let cool completely.
  7. Make the Buttercream Frosting:
  8. Beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, then mix in heavy cream and vanilla. Tint with food coloring as desired.
  9. Assemble and Decorate:
  10. Layer the cakes with frosting. Decorate using fondant Moana figurines, sea creatures, piping gel for water, and edible glitter.

Notes

You can prepare the fondant decorations a day ahead. Chill the cake before decorating to help the buttercream set properly.
