- In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, peppermint extract, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is fully dissolved.2 cups Heavy Cream, 1 cup Whole Milk, 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar, 1 teaspoon Peppermint Extract, 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract, 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- If you desire a classic mint green color, add a few drops of green food coloring to the mixture and stir until evenly incorporated. Start with a small amount and add more as needed to achieve your preferred shade.Green Food Coloring
- Gently stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips. If you're using larger chips, consider chopping them into smaller pieces for easier blending and better distribution throughout the ice cream.1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- Carefully pour the entire mixture into your Ninja Creami pint container. Ensure the liquid level does not exceed the maximum fill line indicated on the pint.
- Place the lid securely on the Ninja Creami pint and transfer it to your freezer. Freeze for at least 24 hours, or until the mixture is completely solid. It's crucial for the mixture to be frozen solid for the Ninja Creami to process it correctly.
- Once frozen solid, remove the lid from the pint and place it into the outer bowl assembly of your Ninja Creami machine. Secure the lid and outer bowl.
- Select the "Ice Cream" function on your Ninja Creami machine. Allow the machine to complete its cycle.
- After the first spin, check the consistency of your ice cream. If it appears crumbly or powdery, it needs a bit more processing. Add a tablespoon or two of liquid (milk or cream) to the pint.2 cups Heavy Cream, 1 cup Whole Milk
- Place the outer bowl back into the machine and select the "Re-spin" function. This will further blend and emulsify the ice cream, creating a smoother, creamier texture. Repeat this re-spin process as needed until you achieve your desired creaminess.
- Once you have achieved perfect creamy consistency, your Ninja Creami Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream is ready to be served! Scoop generously into bowls or cones.
Notes
Store in the Ninja Creami pint container with lid securely fastened in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. Allow to soften for 5-10 minutes before scooping. If too hard, re-spin in the Ninja Creami.
