Method
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy whipping cream, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt until the sugar is completely dissolved.2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream, 1 cup Milk, 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar, 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract, 1 pinch Salt
- Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip until it is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth. Be careful not to overmix, as you want to maintain some of the airy texture of the Cool Whip.1 cup Cool Whip
- Pour the mixture into your Ninja Creami pint (or pints, if making multiple flavors). Do not fill past the MAX fill line.
- Place the lid securely on the pint.
- Place the filled pint in your freezer and freeze for at least 24 hours. The mixture needs to be completely frozen solid for the Ninja Creami to process it correctly.
- Once frozen, remove the pint from the freezer. Remove the lid and place the frozen pint into the outer bowl of your Ninja Creami. Attach the outer bowl lid with the handle facing the correct direction.
- Place the outer bowl assembly into the Ninja Creami machine. Select the "Lite Ice Cream" function. (If you prefer a richer, slightly less airy texture, you can use the "Ice Cream" function, but "Lite Ice Cream" generally works best with the Cool Whip base for this recipe).
- Once the cycle is complete, the ice cream may appear crumbly. This is normal.
- If the ice cream is still crumbly or doesn't have the desired smooth texture, simply place the lid back on the pint and select the "Re-spin" function. You may need to re-spin once or twice.
- Your Ninja Creami Vanilla Cool Whip Ice Cream is now ready to enjoy! Serve immediately for the creamiest texture, or add your favorite mix-ins like chocolate chips, sprinkles, or fresh berries by transferring the processed ice cream back into the pint, creating a well in the center, and adding your chosen ingredients. Then, re-spin on the "Mix-ins" cycle.
Notes
To store, keep in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. Allow to soften for 5-10 minutes before serving. Reprocess with "Re-spin" if it becomes icy.
