- Brew 1-2 shots of strong espresso. If not using an espresso maker, brew a small amount of very strong coffee. Set aside.1-2 shots espresso
- Pour 1 cup of milk into a microwave-safe mug or a small saucepan. Heat until steaming, but not boiling. If using a milk frother, froth until light and foamy. If not, vigorously whisk the steamed milk by hand or use a French press to plunge until frothy.1 cup milk
- In your serving mug, add 2-3 tablespoons of Nutella. If using optional sweetener, add it now.2-3 tablespoons Nutella spread, 1-2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- Pour the hot espresso over the Nutella in the mug. Stir well until the Nutella is completely melted and incorporated, creating a smooth, chocolatey base.1-2 shots espresso, 2-3 tablespoons Nutella spread
- Gently pour the steamed and frothed milk into the mug, holding back the foam initially. Once about two-thirds of the milk is in, spoon the foam on top.1 cup milk
