Ingredients

For the Tea Base
  • 4 cups Strongly Brewed Black Tea Chilled
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup Water
For the Flavor Syrups
  • 1/2 cup Mango Nectar or Puree High quality recommended
  • 1/4 cup Strawberry Syrup or Puree Use concentrated syrup for best color
For Serving
  • 4 Stirred Iced Tea
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes
  • 4 slices Fresh Strawberries For garnish

Method

Instructions
  1. Prepare the simple syrup: In a small saucepan, combine the 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  2. Combine the tea and syrup: In a large pitcher, pour in the 4 cups of chilled, strongly brewed black tea. Add the cooled simple syrup and stir well to incorporate.
  3. Add the fruit flavors: Stir in the 1/2 cup of mango nectar/puree and the 1/4 cup of strawberry syrup/puree into the sweetened tea base. Stir vigorously until the mixture is uniform in color and flavor.
  4. Chill completely: Taste the tea and adjust sweetness or fruit flavor if necessary. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to ensure the tea is thoroughly chilled.
  5. Serve: Fill four tall glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled Mango Strawberry Tea over the ice, dividing equally.
  6. Garnish each glass with a slice of fresh strawberry on the rim.

Notes

For a stronger flavor, use store-bought tea concentrate or use 4 regular tea bags steeped for 8 minutes instead of the recommended time for standard brewing.
